Notes: Sarah Mildred McNaught was born 22 Nov 1899 in Monkton, Grey Twp., Huron, Ontario. Her parents were Henry Alexander McNaught and Rebecca Dunn Detwiller. She had an older sister Alberta (Bert), born in 1882, older brothers Russell, born in 1884, and David Vernon born in 1885, a sister Minnie Ethel born in 1888, and brothers Harry Lorne born in 1889, and James Fergus born in 1891. A sister Ida Beth was born in 1896. The 1901 Canada census shows the entire family together.

Sarah never had a chance to grow up on the family farm known as Deerbank. She died 9 Sep 1901 in Monkton, just short of her second birthday. She is buried in the North Logan/Harvey's Cemetery, Logan Twp., Perth, along with her parents. The headstone she shares with her parents reads "Mildred, dau. of / Henry A. & Rebecca D. McNaught / 1899 - 1901".
