Notes:  Lemira Bishop was born 1 Dec 1921 in Delta, Millard, Utah.  She was the sixth child of John Avery Bishop and Lemira Louisa Walker.  Her older siblings were Erma, born in 1908, Avery Alvin in 1913, Francis Walker (Frank) in 1916, Mohonri Moreancumer in 1917, and John Abram in 1919.  Her younger sisters were Ava and Ora Mae.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Lemira's family was living in Delta (town), Millard, Utah.  Her parents owned their own home, valued at $3,000. and had a radio set.  Although they did not live on a farm, her father John Avery was a farmer, doing general farming on his own account.  The children were Erma, 21, Alvin A., 26, Frank W., 13, Mahonri M., 12, John A., 11, Lemira, 8, Ava, 5, and Ora M., 14 months.  Alvin, Frank, Mahonri, John and Lemira were attending school.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Delta, Millard, Utah, Lemira's family was living on Center Street 3rd West, the same house as in 1935.  Her father John Avery was a manager of a cream station.  The children at home were Francis, 23, Mahonri M., 22, and John A., 21, all laborers doing odd jobs; and Lemira, 18, Ava, 15, and Ora May, 11.  Lemira had completed three years of high school.

Lemira attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah.  She appears with the Sophomore class in the 1942 yearbook, Buzzer.  Her future husband, Garn Arthur Brown appears with the Junior and Senior class in the 1942 and 1943 yearbooks, respectively.

Lemira Bishop married Garn Arthur Brown on 3 May 1947 in Salt Lake, Utah.  They made their home in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, where they raised six children.  Their address in 1951 and 1952 was 987 Windsor.

Lemira was active in the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, YWMIA and Relief Society.  She made quilts, tended her garden, and was a league bowler.

Lemira's husband passed away 8 Apr 1991.  Lemira died in her Salt Lake City home on 13 Oct 1991.  Funeral services were held 18 Oct in the Salt Lake 31st Ward.  She was buried with her husband in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.
