Notes:  Owen Craw Walker was born 7 Dec 1919 in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  He was the second of five children of Owen Francis Walker and Sarah Adleen Craw.  He had an older sister Ellen Mae born in Mar 1917.  In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was living on Main Street in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  His father Owen was a stationery engineer in a silver mine.  The children were Ellen M., 2, and Owen C., 9 months.

Owen's younger siblings were Wanda, born in Jan 1922, Audrey, Apr 1924, and William.  In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was living on County Road, Pioche.  His father Owen was a laborer in the mining industry.  The children were May, 13, Owen, 10, Wanda 8, Audrey, 6, and Billy, 3.  The family was renting their house and the older three children were in school.

Owen graduated from the Lincoln county high school in 1938 and went on to the University of Nevada at Reno, in the mining engineering course.  He spent his second year of college at the Missouri School of Mines at Rolla.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Craw was living with his family in Pioche in the same house as in 1935.  They owned the house, worth $2,000.  His father Owen was a waiter mechanic in a lead zinc mine.  The children at home were Craw, 20, an underground miner, one year of college; Wanda, 18, 2 years of high school; Audrey, 16, one year high school; and William, 13, five years of school.

Owen Craw Walker, 20, married MacVoy Magleby, 18, on 16 Sep 1940 in Monroe, Sevier, Utah.  The wedding took place in the home of her parents, Heber and Effie Magleby.  After their honeymoon they took up residence in Pioche, Nevada.  In Jul 1940 when Owen Craw Walker, 21, registered for the World War II draft, he was living in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada and was employed by Roy Kirk.  He was described as 5'7" tall, 154 lbs, with a light complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Owen and MacVoy raised a family of four children, living in Pioche and Panaca, Nevada, and Richfield and Cedar City, Utah.  He worked for the Magna Cooper Company.  They moved to San Manuel, Arizona in 1958.  In 1993 their address was 930 W 6th Ave., San Manuel, Arizona.  He was an active member of the Chirch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Owen C. Walker, 83, died 15 Nov 2003 at home in San Manuel, Pinal County, Arizona.  Memorial services were held 21 Nov 2003 at the LDS Tucson North Stake Center.  He was buried in the Binghampton Cemetery, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.
