Notes: Gordon J. Carpenter and Nellie F. Noble were married 8 May 1937 in Bismark, North Dakota.
In 1935, they were living in Hettinger County, North Dakota. Their first daughter
was born in North Dakota in 1938. In the 1940 U.S. census, they and their
daughter were living in Amidon, Slope, North Dakota. Gordon was a newspaper
printer. They were renting their residence for $5.00 per month.
The family moved to Southern California. Their son was born in 1944, and
another daughter in 1949. In 1950, they were living at 11341 Lambert Avenue,
El Monte. This was their long term residence.
Gordon died in 1962, possibly in North Dakota. Nellie died 9 Feb 1981 in
El Monte, California. Both are buried in
Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California. |
