Notes: William Jennings Maelzer and Dorothy Daisy Smith wre married on 1 Dec 1934.
In the 1940 U.S. census, William and Dorothy were living in Meredith Twp., Cloud, Kansas.
William was a farmer, and according to the census, had completed one year of high school.
His obituary states he was a graduate of Barnard High School. Dorothy had completed
one year of high school.
In 1967, the couple was living eight miles east of Delphos, and were raising
and selling bloodhounds and Blue Tick 'coon dogs as pets. Dorothy moved to the Delphos Rest
Home in 1977 where she spent her remaining years. The couple had no children.
William died 13 Oct 1982 at the Belle View Manor, Belleville, Republic, Kansas. Dorothy
died 11 May 1991 at the Ashbury-Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina, Saline, Kansas. She
had been a resident of the Delphos Rest Home. Both are buried in the
Milo Cemetery, Barbard, Lincoln, Kansas. |
