Notes: Leon Francis Peterson, 22, and Thelma Lorene Cannan, 20, were married 19 Sep 1930 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. In August 1935, Leon and his wife were living in the Los Angeles area, and were visited by his sister Zella Peterson. She returned with them to Provo, Utah, in October 1935, when they went for a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Peterson.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Leon F. Peterson, 32, was living at 6715 Rita, San Antonio, Los Angeles, California. His wife, named Iona, 28, different name and two years younger than expected, does not quite fit the description of Thelma Irene in the marriage record. It is not known if he had any children, but his headstone, with out a wife, describes him as "Father".
