28 Jan 1960, p. 2, col. 4. "Horace True Smith, 87, Delphos, died Wednesday at Asbury Hospital, Salina. Mr. Smith, a longtime resident of Salina and Ottawa counties, came to Kansas as a boy with his parents from Illinois. Survivors include two sons, Rupert, Delphos, and Lester, Minneapolis; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Ballou, Mrs. Sam Bergsten, Mrs. Virgil McKain and Mrs. William Maelzer, all of Delphos, and Mrs. Archie McKain, Minneapolis; a brother, Perry, Salina; a sister Mrs. Emma Trow, Minneapolis, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Delphos Methodist Church, the Rev. Fred Husted officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call at the Haley Funeral Home, Glasco." | ||||
