Obituary

GARN A. BROWN
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Garn Arthur Brown, age 70, passed away peacefully April 8, 1991, in Salt Lake City.

Garn was born December 14, 1920, in Scipio, Utah, the son of Erwin Martin and Ada Johnson Brown.  He married LeMira Bishop on May 3, 1947 in Delta, Utah.  Worked for 30 years as an Excise Tax Agent for the I.R.S.  He was one of the founders of the Treasury Credit Union.  Avid sports fan and outdoors man.  Member LDS Church.  Garn was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him.  His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.

Survivors include his wife LeMira, Salt Lake City; a son, Gregory (and Evelyn) Brown; five daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Linda) Baxter, Mrs. Jim (Karen) Bourdon, Mrs. Craig (Susan) Child, Mrs. Dwight (Ilene) Mathison and Mrs. Dietmar (Myrna) Fischer; 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Chloe) Pay and Mrs. Karl (Coral) McRae.  Preceded in death by two brothers, Merwin and Bevan.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 12th, 12 noon, at the Salt Lake 31st Ward, 1078 McClelland (1040 East), with Bishop Conroy Whipple officiating.  Friends may call Thursday, from 7-9 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So 2300 East, and at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the services.  Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.  Funeral Directors:  The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
