Notes: Peter Henry Olson was born 1 Jul 1948 in Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, Los Angeles, California. He was the third of seven children of Donald Keith Olson and Frances Dorthea Miller. He weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz. at birth.

Notes: In the 1950 U.S. census, Peter H., 1, was living with his parents, Donald K. Olson, 43, and Frances D., 26, in the family home at 420 North Second St., Alhambra, Los Angeles, California. His father was the proprietor of a "door factory". His two older sisters were Karen L., 4, and Kristin E., 3. His baby brother Eric R. was 3 months. Over the years, his additional siblings included Candace, David, and James.

Peter attended Garfield Elementary School, just one block from home, and Alhambra High Achool, graduating in 1966. He attended the First Presbyterian Church with his family, and spent summer vacations camping in Yosemite National Park, Morro Bay state Park and others. He went on to Los Angeles State College, and became a certified public accountant, entering the business world.

On 23 Feb 1968, Peter married JoAnne Bloomingburg. They had one daughter, Mendy Renee, born in 1968. The marriage ended in divorce in Aug 1981. He married Cheryl Hultberg on 11 Jul 1993 in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, Pomona, California. The reception followed at the Sheraton Suites Fairplex nearby.

Tiring of the business world, Peter turned his attention to skiing. Mt. Baldy, in the San Gabriel Mountains, was the location of the Olson family's summer cabin, and the location of his parent's retirment home built in 1980. By 1978 he was head of the Pro Ski Patrol at the Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts, directed construction of the lifts and runs, and became Vice President of the Western Resorts partnership. In 1983, he became President of Western Resorts.

Peter died 3 Aug 2014 due to Pancreatic Cancer. He was buried alongside his parents in the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles, California.
