Notes: Bill and Nora bought this residence from Hank and Bee Lacaze. The house
was built in 1918, had three bedrooms, one bath, a full basement, and 1422 square
feet of living space. Since the Hancock's prior Oak Street residence sold
before the Lacazes could move, the two families had to live together here for
awhile.
Bill and Nora lived here at Madison Street until their health problems forced
each to live in a nursing facility — where they ultimately died.
The photo at the right shows the 519 Madison Avenue house in its March 2007
condition. It looks almost the same now as it did back in the 1950s
— except that the white picket fence is a newer addition. |
