Notes: I believe that Elizabeth Foust and Martha Foust were the same person. Martha Foust is recorded on John McFarren's (#3) death certificate as the name of his mother. F. G. McFarren was the informant. Bess McFarren also said that Martha Foust was the name of her great-grandmother.

Elizabeth McFarren is clearly her married name in the 1850 and 1860 U.S. cenuses, the 1865 Nebraska Territorial census, and in a 1903 geographical history.

Source 578 gives Elizabeth's full name as Anna Maria Elizabeth Foust; however, I have found no evidence that Anna Maria is valid. Further, Source 546 had said that Anna Maria died near Lincoln, Otoe County, Nebraska, on 5 Aug 1863. However, Source 797 shows our Elizabeth was alive in March of 1865. This convinces me that Anna Maria Foust was not our Elizabeth Foust.
