Hancock, as a resident of Corning, purchased a 5 acre lot in the Maywood Colony for $200. At some point, Walter returned to Canada, and on 1 Feb 1909, when he sold that lot to his father, he was a resident of the City of London, Ontario. In March 1916, Walter visited Corning, California to celebrate the 50th Wedding Anniversary of his parents, Thomas and Mary Anne Hancock. The first two photos show Walter with his parents and siblings. The third shows Walter with some of his siblings and his nephew Ralph Culley.
