Notes: Henry was born in October 1866 in Twickenham, Middlesex, England. He was the first born of Thomas and Mary Anne Hancock. In the April 1871 Great Britain census, he appears as a 4-year-old child. He died in May 1873 at 6 years of age.

The earlier analysis was that Henry's parents' reported in the 1910 U.S. census that two of their children died before May 1910. By deduction, Henry had to be one of the two who died earlier. Henry does not appear in the 9 May 1873 passenger list that documents his parents' and siblings' move to North America. This is significant and strongly suggests that Henry died before May 1873. Two additional findings support this conclusion: (1) I (Dan) could not locate Henry P. Hancock in the England and Wales 1881 censuses, and (2) Henry is not listed in Canada's 1891 census with his parents.
