Notes: Walter was 23 years old and Alma was 21 at the time of their marriage.
Six months later, they were living on rented property on Orchard Street in Napa
and maintaining a home farm there.
By 1930 Walter and Alma owned and were operating a fruit ranch on the Old Sonoma Road
in Napa. They continued farming there, concentrating on prunes, until
Walter's retirement in 1950. The photograph at the right, taken in 1941,
includes Walter, Alma, and son Marvin Buck.
Thereafter Walter and Alma lived in a new cinder block house at 211 Casswall
Street near the Old Sonoma Road. |
