Notes: Francis was born in Jun 1898, probably in Alhambra, California, where the family home was located. She was the middle child of Henry Fishback and Rachel Hildebrand. She had an older brother Charles, born in 1889, and three older sisters - Minnie born in 1891, Harriett in 1893, and Matilda born in 1895. In the 1900 U.S. census, the family was living at 34 S. Electric Street, Alhambra. Her father was still a miner. Her younger brother Henry R. was born in 1902, and her sisters Adel and Almira were born in 1906 and 1909 respectively. In the 1910 U.S. census, Henry and Charles were listed as carpenters, and Minnie was a telephone operator. Her last brother Albert was born in 1911.

Francis had been born mentally or physically retarded. Donald Olson told of seeing her mother Rachel wheeling Francis around in a large buggy or stroller. Francis died in 1915, at about age 17. She is buried in the San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel, California.
