Notes: Rouen James Westcott and Margery Ann Noble eloped and were married in Ventura
County on 30 Sep 1939. Both went to Occidental College in Eagle Rock, Los
Angeles, California. Rouen graduated in 1940, and Margery in 1941.
According to family members, they had a second wedding, probably June 20, 1940,
which would have been about the time that Rouen graduated.
Rouen enlisted as a private in the USA Warrant Officers on 2 Jun 1942.
According to family members, he served as a navigator during World War II.
Rouen and Margery had four children, all born in Glendale, California.
For many years the family residence was at 894 Sussex Road, San Marino, Los
Angeles, California. Rouen was an account executive who sold time for TV
and radio commercials for various companies. For many years he worked on
Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. Margery was a school teacher for many years.
For ten years, they lived in San Pedro, before moving to Huntington Beach in
Orange County.
Rouen died 8 Sep 1990 from lung cancer. From at least 1995 through 2000, Margery
lived in Huntington Beach, according to telephone directories. In 2005, she
moved to Irvine, living in a nursing home with Alzheimer's disease. She passed
away 16 Apr 2008. Both of their ashes were scatter at sea off the coast of
Newport Harbor. |
