Notes: Gounod Romandy and Jean Reese were married about 1924. Their first child, Gounod Jr.,
was born in 1925. In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was living at 721 Vista in Los Angeles,
California. In the census record, Gounod was listed as a musician in the motion
picture industry. This was probably working for the Walt Disney Company. A
daughter, Dianne, was born about 1939.
In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was still in the
same house. Their son Gounod Jr., was 14 years, and daughter, Dianne, 1 year.
Throughout the years, they are both listed as registered voters, not always agreeing on
their party preference. Gounod died 19 Feb 1942, leaving Jean with two young children.
Jean married John E. Radic in 1981. He died in 1991. Jean died 1 Feb 2008,
at the age of 102. Both Jean and Gounod are buried in the
San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel, California. |
