"Death of Marian Detwiller; Graduate of the W.C.A. Hospital Training School for Nurses."  Jamestown Morning Post, Friday, January 2, 1919.
          "Miss Marian Detwiller died yesterday morning [1 Jan 1919] at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. O. N. Rushworth, 12 Lakeview Avenue, at the age of 56 years, 11 months, and 2x days.  She leaves four sisters and five brothers.  Mrs. Henry A. McNaught of West Monkton, Ont., Mrs. Elizabeth D. Wilson of Alhambra, Cal., Mrs. David Harvey of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, and Mrs. O. N. Rushworth of this city; and Alexander Detwiller of Souris, Manitoba, William G. Detwiller of Portage la Prairie, J. Gavin Detwiller, Innis M. Detwiller, and Robert H. Detwiller of Imperial, Saskatchewan.
          Miss Detwiller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and of Miss Ella Parks' Bible Class of that church.  She had been a resident of Jamestown for about 25 years, and was a graduate of the W. C. A. Hospital Training Class and had practiced her profession as a nurse for several years.  The funeral arrangements will be made when her sister, Mrs. Wilson, arrives from California.  Mrs. Wilson is expected tomorrow."

          "The funeral of Miss Marian Detwiller was held privately from the chapel in Lakeview cemetery yesterday afternoon [5 Jan 1919] at 3:30 o'clock, Rev. Dr. George L. MacClelland, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Among the floral tributes were pieces form Miss Ella Parks' Bible Class of the First Presbyterian Church.  The remains were placed in the receiving vault in the Lakeview Cemetery, and will be removed to Motherwell, Ont., at the convenience of the family, and buried beside the father and mother.  From away was Mrs. Elizabeth D. Wilson, Alhambra, Cal."
