Obituary

LEMIRA BROWN
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, LeMira Bishop Brown, age 69, passed away peacefully October 13, 1991, at her home in Salt Lake City.

LeMira was born December 1, 1921, in Delta, Utah, the daughter of John Avery and LeMira Walker Bishop.  She married Garn Arthur Brown on May 3, 1947 in Delta, Utah; he preceded her in death on April 8, 1991.  Active member of the LDS Church, she served in many positions including the Primary, YWMIA and Relief Society.  She had a unique talent for making quilts and especially enjoyed quilting with the Relief Society sisters.  She also enjoyed flowers and gardening and always had a beautiful yard.  An avid bowler; her most recent league play, was the "Grandmother's Bowling League".  LeMira was a kind and loving individual who was devoted to her family; she loved being with and around them, and delighted in playing with her grandchildren.  LeMira's passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.

Survivors:  a son, Gregory (and Evelyn) Brown; five daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Linda) Baxter, Mrs. Jim (Karen) Bourdon, Mrs. Craig (Susan) Child, Mrs. Dwight (Ilene) Mathison and Mrs. Dietmar (Myrna) Fischer; 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mahonri M. and Frank Bishop; two sisters, Ava Losee and Ora Mae May.  Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Alvin Bishop; a sister, Erma Stephenson.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 18,1 p.m., at the Salt Lake 31st Ward, 1078 South McClelland (1040 East).  Friends may call Thursday, 7-9 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the services.  Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
