Newspapers.com. Deseret News (Salt Lake City, Utah) Thu, Jan 21, 1937, p. 14, col. 8. TOQUERVILLE, Utah — Mrs. Adelaide M. Slack, wife of former Bishop Walter H. Slack, died at her home at Toquerville, Utah, on Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. of pneumonia. She was a daughter of James and Annis Bedford Jackson, pioneer residents of Dixie, and was born Dec. 8, 1868 at Toquerville, Utah. She was married to Walter H. Slack on Aug. 28, 1900, and is survived besides her husband, by her six children: Riley L. and Harold E. Slack, Los Angeles; Mrs. Adele Bunker, Veyo, Utah; Lula and Francis M. Slack, Toquerville, and Glen J. Slack, Cedar City, and stepchildren: Linda S. Fletcher, Seattle, Wash.; Irma S. Jackson, Toquerville; Walter H. Jr., Hurricane, Utah, and Nellie Martineau, Gunlock, Utah. She also has the following brothers and sisters: Frank B. Jackson, William D., Harry A. and Jessie Jackson, and Mrs. Anniss R. Naegle. Always an ardent and devoted Church member, Mrs. Slack is widely known for her geniality and kindly disposition. | ||||
