|Notes: Evelyn's officially recorded name at birth was Evelyn Catt. Colene
in Source 965 said that Mysie's birth name was
Margaret Evelyn; however, this is not supported by a primary source.
Evelyn acquired the nickname Mysie at a young age.|
As a young girl, Mysie communicated with her relatives in Manitoba and Saskatchewan via mailed post cards. She saved the five post cards shown at the right above. The first (i.e., leftmost) of the five cards was mailed to Mysie by Walter Catt from Swan Lake, Manitoba, in November 1907. The second card was mailed to Mysie by Newton Catt from Treherne, Manitoba, probably in 1908. The third card was mailed to Mysie by Alice [Reynolds] Catt from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, circa 1908. The rightmost two cards were mailed to Mysie by Percival Catt from Swan Lake, Manitoba, probably in 1909 or thereafter.
In June 1952, Mysie was living in Bosanquet Township and was the mother of two sons.
Mysie enjoyed saving Catt family history information. In 1974 or 1975 she researched and compiled a two-page typed family history document, which is herein identified as Source 965. Mysie passed on at age 99½.
