Alma Peterson:  Provoan Dies at 86
      Neils [sic] Alma Peterson, 86, 990 N. 100 W., Provo, died at a local rest home Thursday afternoon of natural causes.
     He was born Feb. 28, 1878, at Lehi, the son of Neils M. and Mary Woodward Peterson.  He married Annie Walker Oct 9, 1900 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
      Mr. Peterson was a member of the LDS Church, holding the office of high priest in the University ward at the time of his death, serving in priesthood quorums, the YMMIA and Sunday school.  He spent the early part of his life in Hinckley, Utah.  He moved to Eureka and resided there until 1918 when he moved to Provo where he had resided since.
      Mr. Peterson was employed as a stationary engineer at the mines while in Eureka and for the Union Pacific railroad in Provo.
      Survivors include his widow of Provo; five sons and four daughters, Karl A. Peterson, Price; Lawrence Peterson, La Canada, Calif.; F. Leone Peterson, Mrs. Vern (Clara) Bullock and Mrs. Zella Street, all of Provo; Vernon L. Peterson and Mrs. Kendall (Elayne) Rasmussen, Idaho Falls, Ida; Owen R. Peterson, Corpus Christi, Tex.; Mrs. George (Verda) Bollschweiler, Salt Lake City; 27 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Whitehead, Grace, Ida., and Mrs. Leah Marcroft, Salt Lake City.
      Funeral services will be held Monday at noon in the University Ward Chapel with Bishop Ross Denham officiating.  Friends may call at Our Chapel of Memories Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services.  Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
