Mrs. Annie Peterson Will Be Feted on 90th Birthday
      An open house on Sunday for Mrs. Annie Peterson will honor her 90th birthday at the home of Mrs. Vern B. Bullock, 2000 N. 80 E., Provo.  All friends are invited to call from 3 to 7 p.m.  Mrs. Peterson requests no gifts.
      Mrs. Peterson was born in Spring Valley, Nev. Feb 7, 1878, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Walker.  She married Niels Alma Peterson who died four years ago.  They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary before his death.
      They moved to Provo in 1918 from Eureka.  Mr. Peterson worked as a railroad employee.
      Mrs. Peterson taught school after graduating from Brigham Young Academy in 1895.  She has been active in the LDS Church all her life.
      She received a Golden Gleaner honorary award and 25 year Primary pin.  She still acts as a visiting teacher for Relief Society.
      She also served seven years as a probation officer for the Fifth District Juvenile Court.
      She has nine children:  Karl A. Peterson of Price; Mrs. George (Verda) Bollschweiller of Salt Lake City; Laurence Peterson of La Canada, Calif.; Leon Peterson, Mrs. Vern (Clara) Bullock, Owen Peterson and Mrs. Zella Street of Provo; Vernon Peterson of Ohio and Mrs. Kendall (Elayne) Rasmusson of Idaho Falls, Ida.  She also has 30 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
