My grandfather was the youngest of Thomas  and  Mary Anne's children, Walter Oliver Hancock.  He married May Belle Cully and they had three children, Etta, Chester Leroy, (my father) and Alberta.  They were all born and grew up in London Ontario.  During the second world war Chester met my mother Lorna Margaret Clayton in Ottawa, where they both had moved to serve in the war department.  They married and had four children: Richard, Thomas, (born in Ottawa) Margaret and me, Karen.  After the war, the family moved to Thunder Bay Ontario where my sister and I were born and we all grew up. e-mail from Karen Leboe, dated 6/4/2026, to karen@hancockonline.net.

I have put together some information on Walter's family - attached.  I know a bit about my father's sisters, but have no dates or anything, so haven't done charts for them.  They were all born in London Ontario.  Etta remained there and had a son, Robert, but I don't have his wife or children's names or any other info.  Alberta married and they lived in Bellville Ontario.  Their children were Cathy, Jack Jr. and another daughter whose name I have forgotten.  My parents met in Ottawa during the war, then in 1947 moved to Thunder Bay Ontario where they lived the rest of their lives.
