| Notes: Robert Hamilton Pratt married Mary Detwiller on 20 Dec 1899 in Griggs County, North
Dakota. Their first child Robert Earl, was born in 1900, followed by
Erma Mae, 1902, Marion Ida, 1905, Howard Henry, 1909, Wallace Irving, 1910, Kenneth
Raymond, 1912, and Lawrence Everett, 1917. |
In the 1910 U.S. census, the family was living in Cooperstown, Griggs County,
and Robert was the manager of some kind of shop. By the 1915 North Dakota census,
they were living on their own farm in Tyrol Twp., Griggs, about 6 miles north of
Cooperstown. Robert was a grain farmer, and also raised stock. The
entire family was still together in the 1920 U.S. census, and the 1925 North Dakota
census, but by the 1930 U.S. census, their two daughters had married and moved out.
In the 1940 U.S. census, only Lawrence was still living at home.
Robert died 20 April 1941. His wife Mary then moved into Cooperstown. She
died 30 Dec 1963. They are both buried in the
Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, North Dakota, along with three of their
sons and a daughter. |
