| Last Rites Monday For Mrs. Detwiller. Griggs Co. Sentinal Courier, Thursday July 20,
1961. Abstract by Lyle Detwiller. [Isabelle Beattie] "Mrs. Andrew (Isabelle) Detwiller died in the local hospital July 13. She was 80 years old. The funeral was in the Presbyterian Church the Rev. H.R. Senecal officiating. She was born Feb 26, 1991 at St. Marys Ontario Canada and came to Griggs Co. in 1902. She was married to Andrew M. Detwiller in March 25, 1903. They farmed North of Cooperstown. Mrs. Detwiller was a member of the Presbyterian Church and its ladies aid, was a member of the Eastern Star for a few years and belonged to the Tyrol homemakers club. She is survived by two sons Harold of Elk Mound, Wisc. and Ronald of Cooperstown, daughterMrs. Elmer D. (Vivian) Smith, Oren Utah, a half sister Mrs. Edith McIntosh St. Marys, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died February 1937, a grandson Andy Bill in 1943 and a daughter Mrs. Ray Kent in May 1958." | ||||
