Ronald Henry (Jack) Detwiller Obituary

Ronald Henry (Jack) Detwiller, 55, died Weds Nov.4, 1970 in a Fargo hospital.  The funeral was in St. George's Catholic Ch. here Sat., Rev. A.J. Masey officiating.

Ronald Detwiller was born Feb. 15, 1915 at Cooperstown, son of the late Andrew and Isabel (Beattie) Detwiller.  He grew to manhood on the farm north of Cooperstown, attended rural schools, was a Cooperstown H.S. graduate in 1933.

He married Genevieve Pella at Jessie May 30, 1942.  In 1941 he went to work in Ed Reiten's welding shop.  As the shop grew into a factory, he continued his association with it through the successive changes from x.x. Reiten Mfg. through Melroe Mfg. and Melroe Division of Clark Equip. Co.

He was a member of St. George's Catholic Ch., a committee member of Explorer Scouts and belonged to the American Welding Society.

Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Moran, Tampa, Fla., Lyle of Rochester, N.Y., Freddie and Cynthia at home, two grandchildren; a brother Harold, of Menonomie, Wis., a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Vivian) Smith of Orem, Utah.  A sister, Mrs. Ray (Myrtle) Kent of Miles City, Mont. preceded him in death.
